Connect Gemini for notes

Notes use your own Gemini API key. It's free, takes about a minute, and is saved only in this browser. Recording works fine without it.

  1. Open Google AI Studio and sign in with your Google account.
    Get a free API key ↗
  2. Click Create API key. Choose a project whose billing shows Free tier, or create a new project. Don't use a project marked Tier 1, 2 or 3, because that one is billed.
  3. Copy the key and paste it here:

Privacy: on the free tier, Google may use the sound you send to improve its products, so don't turn on notes for confidential meetings. Your key only ever goes to Google.
